About ACS ENVR
The American Chemical Society Division of Environmental Chemistry (ACS ENVR) is a professional organization supporting over 3,000 chemists and environmental scientists. Founded in 1913, they promote research, education, and policy in environmental chemistry and sustainability.
The Challenge
The Division’s previous website was complex and confusing to navigate, creating friction for its 3,000+ members. The organization required a more user-friendly platform to energize engagement and better support its professional community. Their principal aims were to streamline the awards nomination process, highlight dynamic programming, and improve communications. Meeting these goals required a complete revamp of the site’s architecture and features.
The Solution
After a deep dive into the strategic goals and digital presence of ACS ENVR, we developed a robust, simplified site architecture. Working closely with the Division, we:
- Modernized and integrated a streamlined awards system
- Highlighted dynamic programming by integrating a calendar showcasing upcoming webinars, ACS meetings, and division events
